About the Event
Panel to the People is hosting a webinar called “Health Education: A Social and Scientific Perspective” on Saturday, January 30th, 2021 at 3 pm (EST). This will be a panel that spotlights the issues and impacts of COVID-19 on healthcare. Through this webinar, we hope to hold a nuanced discussion between our panelists on how health information is disseminated through communities, and the role health education plays in communal outcomes. E
specially within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to offer our audience a means through which they could learn how to best process information regarding healthcare/well-being, and how they could help to start credible conversations about said information within their own communities as well.
Our panelists are Dr. Africa Stewart (president of Doctors Without Borders), Dr. Vincent Felitti (founder of Kaiser Permanente's Preventative Health Office and the ACE study), and Mrs. Linda Smith (WHO liaison and lactation consultant at La Leche League).
